How are sessions conducted?
All work is online. The platform is agreed upon in advance. Session duration: a standard 50 minutes.
Is therapy available in English?
Yes. We can have sessions in English, Russian, or a bilingual format.
Do you work with children, couples, or families?
No. I offer individual psychotherapy for adults only.
Do I need to come with a clearly identified goal?
No. You bring whatever is currently there. We will clarify therapeutic objectives together.
What if we are not a fit?
If my method or style does not resonate with you, we will talk it through, and I will offer a referral.
How long does therapy take?
The timeline depends on your objectives. Overcoming situational crises requires short-term work (10–12 sessions). Addressing depression, chronic anxiety, or destructive behavioral patterns requires long-term therapy (6+ months, typically once a week).
Can I terminate therapy?
Yes. It is your free choice. To ensure proper clinical closure, I strongly recommend having a discharge session.
Do you prescribe medication or provide emergency sessions?
No. Prescribing medication is strictly the domain of a psychiatrist. I also do not provide emergency crisis intervention.
How is confidentiality maintained?
All communication is strictly confidential. I operate in full compliance with Russian Federation data protection laws and the ethical code of the American Counseling Association.
What is the session fee?
The fee is agreed upon individually during the initial inquiry.
How is payment handled?
The payment method, format, and schedule are agreed upon in advance.
What is the status of your US license when working with clients in Russia?
The New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is not a domestic Russian document. However, it serves as official verification of my clinical qualifications, specialized education, and strict adherence to international clinical and ethical standards.
